Great store! Their meats are locally sourced, and look amazing compared to other grocery stores fresh meats. The prices are great, too. Check them out.

We were so excited to see this addition to the neighborhood. Wanting to ensure success early on we stopped in regularly. Purchases were typically produce, meat and grains. Each time we purchased cheese it was past expiration, they kindly exchanged it for us, we started checking dates every time after that. Produce didn’t seem to stay fresh long. I think both were because sales were low and they weren’t going through product fast enough. Over time we have seen improvements. Better rotations. They no longer carry fresh produce. The dry foods and freezer foods provide a great selection of regional choices. Butcher onsite for meat. Fabulous baklavas.

I am so glad this store opened in my neighborhood! It has an incredible diversity of products, from the basic staples to items you can't find elsewhere in South Austin (but should definitely try). As a vegetarian, I typically avoid the raw meat section in stores because of the smell. But they have the cleanest, most pristine butcher section I've ever seen. I comment on it to my husband every time I go in. They also have a pizza oven and have worked tirelessly to bring hot, quality products to this neighborhood. The staff are incredible and never forget a face. I highly recommend Global Foodland!

This place is awesome it has parking and it’s very clean inside. They sell saffron! And black Olives! Also a fresh bakery section of homemade Baklava $19.99 a pound! You will find fresh lamb and beef and a butcher to cut the meat. No live cattle in back lol 😂. It’s got Dairy and dry goods. It has rose water and rice and lentils and yes barley (peeled wheat) Sunflower seeds and fresh Dates and so much more….

I really liked this store! They have a great selection of loose-leaf teas, a huge variety of rice, and many different grains that are significantly cheaper than in standard stores. And of course, I’m sure they’re better quality as well. There’s an impressive selection of canned beans of various kinds, as well as preserved and fermented foods. The selection of sweets is excellent, and I really liked the cheese section. They also have a wide variety of drinks and juices with real juice content—so many options! The chips section is interesting too, with unique flavors. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean. They also have a large selection of fresh meat, including halal options. Finally, there’s a place like this nearby! I’m so happy we now have this store in South Austin because I always had to go all the way downtown before. They even sell this popular Dubai chocolate! I’m now a regular customer—I love the variety they offer. One small downside is that since they’re still stocking the shelves and the store seems newly opened, not all items have price tags. But the staff is always ready to help when you ask about prices.
